Thunderbolt Sports Academy’s young footballers continued their promising development with encouraging performances in friendly games against Edgars Youth Programme, gaining valuable competitive experience and an opportunity to put their training into practice.

The U9 team produced a confident display to secure a 2–0 victory over Edgars Youth Programme. Thunderbolt showed good organisation, attacking intent and determination throughout the encounter, while a disciplined defensive performance ensured they finished the game with a clean sheet.The result was a deserved reward for the youngsters’ hard work and commitment, giving the U9 players another confidence boost as they continue to develop their technical ability and understanding of the game.

The U11 encounter was a closely contested affair, with Thunderbolt and Edgars Youth Programme sharing the points after a 1–1 draw. Both teams showed plenty of determination and attacking ambition, with Thunderbolt battling strongly to earn a positive result.

Beyond the final scores, the friendly matches provided important learning opportunities for the young players. The games allowed them to experience competitive situations, make decisions on the pitch and apply lessons from their regular training sessions.
